12/7/2020 Update

In regards to the newly enacted, state mandated, modified stay-at-home order for Santa Barbara, as of 12/7/20 we are still open for takeout.

Winter Update

In an ongoing effort to stay up to date with Public health directives and make our stores a safe place for both our customers and employees, we are doing many things. We have listed many of these in our previous messages and we would like keep you informed on our safety protocols.

  1. We are safely open as a takeout only restaurant.
  2. We have hand sanitizer dispensers in the front of our stores for customer use and by the registers for the cashier’s use.
  3. All of our employees are required to wear masks.
  4. All of our customers are required to wear masks before they enter.
  5. We have built and installed plexi-glass shields between our customers and our employees taking orders at the register.
  6. We are offering online ordering which allows you to pay in advance avoiding the exchange of money or credit card and skip the line, just grab and go.
  7. We also offer delivery through DoorDash.

Update: 3/18/20

In our continuing effort to stay up to date with the latest Public Health directives, we are doing many things. We listed some of these in our last message and we would like to update you on the latest changes we have made.

  1. We are only Grab & Go now.  See Store Hours & Phone Numbers Here >
  2. We have put tape on the floor six feet apart to help give our customers a visual aid in keeping the recommended six feet of social distancing. This has created physically longer lines, often extending outside the store, but hasn’t affected wait times.
  3. We have entered into a contract with Enviro-Masters for two services:
    (1) Electrostatic Spraying Service: Enviro-Master's unique electrostatic spraying service is called Sani-Guard, and uses a disinfectant containing active ingredients that are EPA-registered to kill Coronaviruses. ​Sani-Guard is a weekly service which addresses dangerous disease-causing pathogens such as MRSA, Norovirus, Influenza H1N1, HIV, Hepatitis, E. coli, Streptococcus, Salmonella, and Tuberculosis. ​Enviro-Master’s certified Health and Safety Technicians use an electrostatic sprayer, which places a positive charge on our germicide, allowing it to adhere to all surfaces. Unlike harsh chemicals, our product is food safe and can be applied to all surfaces.

    (2) Hand Sanitizer: Enviro-Masters has installed hand sanitizer dispensers in the customer area and work area in all 17 of our stores. We have contracted with them to keep them filled and we urge you to use them as you enter the store.

Update 3/16/2020

As the three owners of Blenders, the health and safety of our customers and employees are our top priorities amid concerns about the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19).  We want to assure you that we are working to ensure that we continue to provide healthy and safe food in a safe environment.
We are monitoring the CDC recommendations in order to stay abreast of the latest direction and the list below reflects the most current CDC recommendations. To this end, we have enacted many new procedures that will affect our normal operations.

  1. An alarm will go off every 30 minutes that will alert all employees to wash their hands for 20 seconds. At this 30-minute mark, en employee will also wipe down virtually every surface in the store with sanitizer.
  2. We are directing our register person to sanitize their hands prior to having any involvement in the making of any smoothies or juices.
  3. We are advising all employees to stay home if they are sick.
  4. We are postponing any meetings that will put employees in close contact.
  5. We will not be accepting mugs or personal containers to replace our cups.
  6. We are eliminating all indoor seating in our stores to encourage social distancing.

Thank you for your understanding and patience as we take these extra precautions. As CDC recommendations change, we will make the necessary adjustments and pass the information on to you, our customers.
